How can it be May already? Here we are, back in your inbox - thanks for receiving our emails and keeping in touch with what we are up to.
Yes, we have a really big tartan project on this year, with the designing and weaving of a tartan honouring the land and people of the Waitaki. The Waitaki grown fleece has been scoured and our proposed colours are getting matched at the dye-house. We hope to be able to share more with you next month. In the meantime you can read a bit about our plans in this article in a recent Oamaru Mail.
Yes, that's right. Take 20% off the price of Fashy hotties until the end of June.
Finally, I have got our Foulden Hills collections online. You can see the process involved in designing and weaving this gorgeous collection by clicking HERE.
And also, I have got our Beal collection online. You can see the process involved in designing and weaving this classic black and white plaid collection by clicking HERE.
During the past week we have been warping up 170 metres for Meagan, a local woolgrower. She has great plans for using the fabric as curtains in her home. They are going to look amazing. Click HERE to watch the progress unfold as I post images of each step of the way.
I have lots of images to share with you this month. With the help of our most recent intern, Hannah from Wellington, we've finally got images of the Foulden Hills and Beal collections online. While Hannah was here I kept her busy with behind the scenes small business things and Rod kept her busy in the weaving shed. The two weeks went too quickly so we're hoping she can come back again to learn more.
There's lots more to tell you, but it will have to wait until our next newsletter, my loom is calling me!!
