Welcome to our June newsletter

Welcome to our June newsletter. There has been lots happening in our McLean & Co weaving shed and workroom. Remember you can follow us on social media to keep track of what we're up to.

I wish I could report more, but we are still waiting to get our colour samples back from the dye house. We can't make our Waitaki tartan page live or start sharing more about how you can order your very own piece of the first Waitaki tartan until we know if we can have the colours we've chosen - hopefully this week! I will be sure to share our excitement on social media! However, things are still happening behind the scenes so once we have a couple of boxes ticked, we'll be all go! Click the links below if you missed our first Waitaki Tartan blog or the Oamaru Mail article.

Yes, we are bringing McLean & Co. to Invercargill for the first time, and we're super excited. We've heard lots of great things about the Southern Crafters Market and are looking forward to being warm and dry at a mid-winter market!

Rod has been busy pedaling all month, weaving Meagan's fabric. We have fulled the first 50 metres, and it's currently drying on the roller in our lounge. It's gorgeous, and just goes to show that 'strong' wool can make beautiful textiles - you just have to work with it. You can follow our progress on social media, and also on our Weaving for Meagan page. Since I finished my weaving I have been in my workroom making up cushions for orders, and for in CRAFTED: Waitaki Artisan Gallery in Harbour Street Oamaru. I've just received another three boxes of cushion inners, both feather and wool, and so will be continuing to make up more cushions to share with you all. The rest of June and July are going to be busy as we get ready to take some of our wares to Invercargill for the first time - look out Southland, here we come!
If there is anything I can help you with, please just ask.
Happy winter,
Sue and Rod xx
